Da_Blitz informed me by PM of the "hack", but was not sure whether to delete the posts. I emailed Offroadgeek and I also thought that the "report a post" link goes to all Admins.

Therefore, where are the admins? I have some admin rights in certain fora, but not enough to look at the details of the posts in question.

Anyway I have locked the topic for the time being.

P.S. Bloody Firefox, will not let me type an apostrophe, nor use the cursor keys, nor copy & cut & paste. Need to restart it me thinks, grrrr wink.gif

I'm after a general purpose digital/analogue input and output interface to connect up to a serial port, something like these:

just that I'd prefer it to use serial so that it's more compatible with the various PDAs I have lying about (Zaurus will do usb and serial, Psion will do Parallel and serial).

Anyone been following this thread (which has become split unfortunately)?:

The chap is asking for people to supply results for processors other than the omap, and I thought we might be the perfect people (assuming most people reading the forum have a Zaurus or a 770 & a Zaurus) as we have a variety of processor types (and possibly optimisations).

I wonder how much of a difference the in-lining makes though. Anyone have any ideas?

-finline-functions would in-line things, but presumably functions like memcpy() would have to be available in source form to be inlined (making it more difficult for the test program, but not for patching glibc)?

I need to rebuild my toolchains, so I won't be able to do much for a day or so, but if anyone else has a working toolchain I'd be interested to see the results.

I'm looking for a bluetooth keyboard, not too bothered whether it's full size or fold-away. In the UK, the cheapest I can find on the web is the Apple BT keyboard for £39.00.

Has anyone seen anything cheaper? (From the US too if they are able to post to the UK, though that tends to be rather expensive)

I've been using my shiny new Nokia 770 on my university's wifi network.

We have to use a proxy server for http, the config file for which is here: http://www.bath.ac.uk/proxy/proxy.config

My problem is this:

Initially I set the proxy manually to http://wwwcache.bath.ac.uk:3128/; with this in place, the web browser worked fine, but no internet-radio nor news reader.

I then decided to use the proxy.config file (linked above) after which the internet-radio also started to work; however there's still no sign of the news-reader doing anything.

Now the Nokia apps are a bit wierd - they show generic (useless) error messages and no output to stderr, so I'm trying to find the cause without any help from the apps themselves.

I've logged with tcpdump, the results of which are here: http://people.bath.ac.uk/enpsgp/Zaurus/temp/

The one which is interesting is news-reader3_auto-proxy.log which is using the proxy.config file, and still not working. For comparison with a working session (web-browser) see web-browser2_manual-proxy.log (manual proxy though).

Can anyone spot a problem in the output from the news-reader?

This is driving me mad! wink.gif
