So how do we remove the battery? Also has anyone else gotten this error on their Gemini? This is the First time it has shown up on mine and I had the charger hooked up on the Left side. Was playing an Android game and the battery was at 15% so I plugged it in and continued playing for 40 minutes till I stopped to go get some food when I got back I saw the Over temp warning on the screen. Also it says to remove the battery but as was posted there is no way to remove the battery without causing damage. I have powered off the Gemini and waited till it cooled down before plugging the charger back in.

Sounds like we need a public service announcement to not play games while charging to prevent risk of overheating. I don't really know what's worse, this or the Microsoft Surface Book 2 where the power brick doesn't supply enough juice for games and the battery drains while it's plugged in.

When the overheating warning appeared, were you using the supplied charger/cable, or a third-party one? This article suggests that a poor quality charger cable might cause overheating during charge: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/prevent-andro...ne-overheating/

So is there no passive cooling in the gemin pda or atleast a heatsink or a fan?

There is definitely not a fan! That would be active cooling anyway. There is passive cooling of course. Is it good enough? Remains to be seen. But I'm only aware of a couple of reports of this problem, and we don't know if it's a charging problem, a cooling problem, a battery problem, a sensor problem...

I used the charger that came with the Gemini along with the cable that came with it.
