Never noticed the location forums before... Nice to see that I am not the only Zaurus User in Georgia. I live in Grayson (Lawrenceville/Snellville Area) and work in Duluth. I have a SL-6000 I also have a Dell Axim (Pocket PC) which is alright as a PDA. I would like to be able to sync the Dell to my Zaurus. The smaller form factor of the Dell is nice if all I need is a list of phone numbers and addreses or maybe some mapblast directions. But for real power and trouble shooting wireless network problems and prety much anything else gotta have the Z...

Well, I'm getting a few things going on my Z. I'm synchronizing files to a linux laptop using Unison. Discovered a bad wireless card but MicroCenter came to the rescue and have been using wireless in 3 cities without a glitch now. Downloaded apache and have my own little web server running. Decided to use KA/Pi and KO/Pi for Pim tools instead of the built-ins. So far, so good!
On the "to do list": #1: My husband wants me to load some Nintendo games so I started working on that tonight, but got stuck. Anyhow, I love my new toy, but it's been an adventure locating software that will work on the C3000. |

Well, it seems everyone is interested in meeting, but nobody wants to commit to a place to meet. I'll throw out a suggestion:
Since we all recognize Sept 11 as a significant date in the US of A, how about we try a meeting at the Panera Bread on Sept 12? coffee, forbidden pastries (I guess) and free Wifi! This gives us a month to let this Message soak. The address for this Panera Bread is: 2100 Pleasant Hill Road Duluth GA, 30096 I, for one, have something interesting to share. I've written some applications that allow me to program PIC microcontrollers with my Z. This involved installing ZGCC, the Zaurus C compiler on the Z, getting a telnet session. Also have Keyboard and Mouse capability, thanks to these forums. I don't have any idea what it's near. I suspect it's near that Mall. It looks like it's to the north, close to Satellite Blvd, toward the I-85 side. (Gawd, I need to get out more) |
